The upcoming mid-range smartphone Xiaomi Mi A2 has passed the NCC certification in Taiwan, and before that the agency in Singapore, which speaks of the phone’s imminent launch.
Although the certificate does not mention the name of the Mi A2, it does list the model number M1804D2SG, which is similar to the Chinese variant of the Mi A2 Mi 6X.
The certification does not reveal the specification of the phone, but it is in line with the Taiwanese operator’s standards.
In terms of software, instead of the company’s MIUI, the Mi A2 will run Android Oreo, given that it is part of the Google One initiative.
Its predecessor, the Mi A1, was also part of Android One.
The specs of the smartphone are expected to be the same as those of the Mi 6X. That is, it will be equipped with a 5.99-inch IPS LCD that supports FHD + 2160 x 1080 pixels. It will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor, along with 4GB of RAM and 32GB / 64GB of internal storage. Some reports indicate that there will be another variant with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage.
As for the camera, the device is expected to feature a rear dual camera consisting of two 20MP sensors and a 20MP selfie camera on the front.
The smartphone can be powered by a 3000mAh battery.
