LG unveiled at the IFA 2019 in Berlin its new G-series smartphone, the LG G8XThinQ, and the ultra-modern LG Dual Screen smartphone.
Both gadgets are designed to provide new high-quality features and perform several tasks at the same time, as well as enjoy viewing content and communicating.
LG Dual Screen, which the company unveiled at MWC 2019 in Barcelona, has become a new form factor and has brought multitasking mobile devices to a new level. In the new version, LG took into account consumer reviews and introduced a number of improvements, including an optional 2.1 ″ display built into the case.
It allows users to check the time, date, battery level, monitor messages and receive other useful information without opening the Dual Screen. There is another difference: the first smartphone with two screens allows you to view content from two different angles. And the new Dual Screen has a hinged mechanism that allows displays to rotate 360 degrees apart (360 Freestop Hinge), and makes it possible to view content from any angle, like on a laptop.
LG’s new G Series smartphone has the same 6.4 ″ screen as the LG Dual Screen for dual productivity and entertainment. Thanks to the fingerprint scanner integrated in the screen, locking and unlocking the LG G8XThinQ is now even easier and this is possible even when the dual screen is open back. Automatically adjusting the screen brightness in smartphones is no longer news, however, in the G8XThinQ, the lighting sensor also controls contrast, which provides better image detail and reduces eye strain. And the front camera of the phone is in an unobtrusive “drop”, which allows you to fully enjoy the FullVision screen with a diagonal of 6.4 ″.
LG G8XThinQ is just a paparazzi's dream! The front camera is 32 megapixels, a 1.6? M sensor that can compete with the main cameras, and therefore real star photos can be taken on any of the cameras. In addition, for a perfect selfie, there is a reflector mode that allows you to take sharper and sharper portrait photos even in low light, and allows users to independently adjust the color of the lighting in accordance with their mood or preference. AI Action Shot in the new LG G8XThinQ recognizes and compensates for movement with a shutter speed of 1/480 sec. To keep objects in focus; Ideal for memorable snapshots of children or pets while playing. 4K Time Lapse mode allows you to create artistic single-frame video with stunning 4K resolution, and LG Steady Cam provides improved image stability, so the video looks more professional. For the first time, LG G8XThinQ added the ability to switch between the front and rear cameras during video recording.
LG, a recognized leader in the production of audio systems for smartphones, will once again surprise users with its G8XThinQ. Two 1.2 W speakers deliver crisp and perfectly balanced stereo sound, and thanks to 32-bit Hi-Fi Quad DAC, enhanced by Meridian Audio, LG remains the benchmark in terms of exceptional sound quality in a smartphone. By recording, the LG G8XThinQ has a microphone that turns on automatically with video recording and detailed and realistic recording of sound (ASMR).
In terms of appearance, the LG G8XThinQ has much in common with previous LG phones, but it’s not without its own personality. The dual screen is now connected via USB instead of spring contacts, so the phone without a case looks more stylish and elegant. LG G8XThinQ boasts an improved interface with a more thoughtful design. Updated icons and tabs, such as dialing, call log and contacts, located at the bottom of the screen, and now you can perform even more actions on the phone with one hand.
“The LG Dual Screen has already become a recognized form factor that has been praised for its practicality and the many multitasking opportunities it offers,” said Brian Kwon, president of LG Mobile Communications and Home Entertainment. “We will continue to expand the LG Dual Screen ecosystem through strategic partnerships and substantive improvements to our innovations to meet the individual needs of our customers.”
The LG G8XThinQ and the updated LG Dual Screen will go on sale in the US and other key markets in the fourth quarter. On September 6-11, IFA 2019 visitors will be the first to test the new LG G8XThinQ and LG Dual Screen in Hall 18 of the Messe Berlin Exhibition Center.
