Huawei has officially confirmed that it will hold a virtual press conference in Barcelona on February 24 at 15:00 CET. This makes her the first company to officially confirm the Barcelona event after GSMA canceled the MWC 2020. The company calls it a virtual press conference because it will show a pre-recorded keynote at an event in Barcelona, followed by on-site demonstration experience.
In addition to this, Huawei will announce its new foldable smartphone at the event. It is confirmed that this is not a folding model Huawei Mate X, announced last year. So, this is a completely new folding model, which will be presented and demonstrated at an event in Barcelona. The company also plans to announce several other consumer technologies at the same event.
It could be the Huawei Mate XS model that was mentioned in 2019. Huawei CEO Richard Yu confirmed last year that the Mate XS will have an improved processor (Kirin 990 5G), an improved display, and an upgraded hinge mechanism. The Mate XS is also expected to make some design changes that will make it more compact and durable.
We remind you that last week Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Lite and Moto g8 power were introduced.
